Sandbox World

Personally, I think I’m a kid in a sandbox.

It’s a big sandbox, but I am learning my way around.

I have found that in a sandbox you need to pick your quiet times carefully. Otherwise, your whole world can disappear while your eyes are closed.

Goodbye George Carlin

George Carlin

This morning I read the morning news and saw George Carlin has left us.

Oh, naughty word George, how I will miss you and your wonderful humor.

George and I shared this world for many years.

I know he had the concept of aging figured out.

And feeling a gentle sadness at his passing, I share with you what George had to say about Life and getting older:

George Carlin’s Views on Aging

Do you realize that the only time in our lives when we like to get old is when we’re kids?

If you’re less than 10 years old, you’re so excited about aging that you think in fractions. ‘How old are you?’ I’m four and a half!’

You’re never thirty-six and a half. You’re four and a half, going on five! That’s the key.

You get into your teens, now they can’t hold you back. You jump to the next number, or even a few ahead.

“How old are you?’ ‘I’m gonna be 16!’ You could be 13, but hey, you’re gonna be 16!

And then the greatest day of your life . . You become 21. Even the words sound like a ceremony . YOU BECOME 21. YESSSS!!!

But then you turn 30. Oooohh, what happened there? Makes you sound like bad milk! He TURNED; we had to throw him out.

There’s no fun now, you’re Just a sour-dumpling. What’s wrong? What’s changed?

You BECOME 21, you TURN 30, then you’re PUSHING 40. Whoa! Put on the brakes, it’s all slipping away.

Before you know it, you REACH 50 and your dreams are gone.

But wait!!! You MAKE it to 60. You didn’t think you would!

So you BECOME 21, TURN 30, PUSH 40, REACH 50 and MAKE it to 60.

You’ve built up so much speed that you HIT 70! After that it’s a day-by-day thing; you HIT Wednesday!

You get into your 80’s and every day is a complete cycle; you HIT lunch; you TURN 4:30 ; you REACH bedtime.

And it doesn’t end there. Into the 90s, you start going backwards; ‘I Was JUST 92.’

Then a strange thing happens. If you make it over 100, you become a little kid again. ‘I’m 100 and a half!’
May you all make it to a healthy 100 and a half!!

George managed to hit 71 years of age. Guess he figured after that it was just a matter of repeating what you have already done.

Gosh, I wish he could tell us about the next stage of Life he has entered! That could really be a humorous moment. I hope you have found Peace, George.

We send you on your way with…..

The Seven Core Beliefs

It seems only fair that I state that there are seven core beliefs that guide the words you read here on Uduzit. These are my personal beliefs, and they are seen in a great deal of what I write.

Many of the early posts on Uduzit discuss these subjects. You can explore these ideas further by using the Search feature in the column to the right. Try the term “asking questions,” and you will get a page full of results.

But now, on with the rest of the story.

The Seven Core Beliefs of Uduzit

  • It feels as if Lewis Carrol and I learned many of the same lessons. Life is like a reflection in a mirror. Everything that I see is really about me, not them. I am disconnected from nothing and connected to everything. Everything means, everyone and everything in the Universe.

  • Early on, I learned that to resist anything, was to empower it. That never meant being weak, or even passive. It did mean learning when to step aside for a moment.

  • In Judgment, I become what I judge. Yesterday, I grumbled to myself that I had cooked a great deal of rice, for certain people living in my home, to prevent them from burning my pan. Yesterday, I burned that pan cooking rice.

  • The lessons of Universal Law are very apparent when I understand what I am looking at. The Law of Attraction appears to be the foundation for everything that I am now experiencing.

  • It was primary for me to learn that there are two Thought Systems available in life, and that I may choose only one. When I learned that I had an alternative to the World of Fear I perceived. I choose instead a world of Peace.

  • My perceptions guide my experience. I can choose to see things differently, and I can ask for help in accomplishing this. Spirit has always provided any guidance I have requested to gain a clearer insight in to my experiences.

  • Asking questions, and hearing the answers, was primary. Learning to trust this process taught me that there is something outside myself that is walking with me, and providing me guidance. I call this Spirit.

You will see more posts on Uduzit exploring these concepts, but I have not missed the fact that many of you arrive here, because of our shared interest in blogging and computers.

May we continue enjoying our shared interests.

Uduzit

Having just moved to a new country, I needed a driver’s license. So I hired a local driving instructor, but walked away puzzled. I found other instructors, but their techniques were the same.

Couldn’t figure out why these people wanted me to drive backwards, always looking in the rear view mirror?

I pondered the realities of living in a mountain village. It could be that driving backwards is a skill necessary to avoid being trampled by something bigger than my car. That thought got my attention.

Learning to drive backwards was strange, but the rules are quite clear. I have to remember where I am heading, see what’s coming toward me, and out run what’s after me.

From all this I came to understand that going backward, sometimes accomplishes the same thing as going forward. More important still, I was the one in the driver’s seat and learned I could choose to go any direction I wished.

Yet no matter my direction, my experiences are always created by my choices. I am the producer of the drama I call my life. Backward or forward, it has been a process of taking control of what I am producing.

Becoming responsible for what I experience, I have created a whole new life for myself. There is nothing I have done that you can not do yourself. It starts in knowing: U Duz It !   ET
